Private School Admissions Testing
We have been selected to provide admissions testing for specific schools in the North Dallas area. These tests are NOT diagnostic, but provide the schools with an objective measure of students overall learning potential and current academic abilities.
Testing includes:
- • All admissions evaluations include an evaluation of the student’s overall learning potential utilizing an age appropriate intellectual test: WPPSI-IV or WISC-V.
- • Kindergarten applicants: the assessment will also include a measure of Kindergarten Readiness skills, as well as early reading concepts and math problems solving abilities.
- • First grade applicants are also administered an assessment of their early reading skills and math problems solving abilities.
- • Older applicants are also given an age appropriate reading comprehension, oral reading fluency and math problem-solving assessment.
Steps to Take:
- • Contact our New Client line with a referral from the school requesting admission’s testing.
- • A diagnostician in our office will contact you to schedule an appointment to bring your child in for testing. The testing appointment generally takes 1.5 to 2 hours per evaluation. Tests are individually administered, so separate testing times are needed for siblings.
- • We make every attempt to schedule testing as soon as possible after you contact our office. However, during the spring and summer, appointment times book up in advance. Once the testing is complete, the results are scored and analyzed quickly.
- • Soon after we have completed your child’s evaluation, we write up the test results in a written report. We make every attempt to send your child’s report to the school and forward a copy (via email) to you within 48 hours after testing.
- • The report is pretty self-explanatory; however, if you have any questions once you receive the results, we are available to address your concerns about testing, not admissions policies.
Fee for Private School Admissions Testing $500
